You decide what products you want to test so you will never be sent something you are not interested in.

Yes, this almost sounds too good to be true; the products you test are delivered directly to your door. You always have the chance to apply for the products you like from the plethora of products we have available, but there may be many more test applicants than we have test products. In this case, a lottery will decide if you are chosen as a tester, but we ensure that you will always have a realistic chance of being selected. If you are selected we will send you the product, 100% free of charge.

There are very few things that cannot be bought on Amazon, but here lies our single constraint: if you cannot buy it on Amazon, you cannot test it. Therefore no animals, airplanes, or priceless items such as happiness or love can be tested through ASIN Booster. Of course there will be a world of other products to help you forget this; everything from socks and selfie sticks, through to premium TVs.

PRODUCT TESTERS WANTED

If you want to become a product tester, all you will need is time, passion, and a decent review history on Amazon. Once logged in on Amazon, you can find your review history under www.amazon.co.uk/gp/profile. Think your review history looks good? Then we probably think so too. Hot Tip: we like testers that have been reviewing many products over months or years. The more reviews you have, the easier it is for us to evaluate your writing style and how helpful your reviews are to fellow customers.

Yes, you read that correctly; you get to test products for free! You will be able to keep the product as well (in the majority of cases), and you never will have to pay for shipping. All you have to do in return is write a helpful and honest review within 30 days of receiving the product.

REVIEW PRODUCTS ONLINE

You do not need any special equipment to be a product tester; all you will need is access to a device with an Internet connection. As a product tester you apply for test products and publish your reviews through a simple web browser of your choice. Many of our product testers first write their review in a program such as Microsoft Word to utilise features such as Spell Check, before copying the review into the online submission forms. This way the review can also be saved for later use or if they experience internet connection problems.

After your registration, your online profile will be assessed to ensure you are in line with our strict reviews standards. For example: we especially pay attention to whether or not you have written reviews objectively in the past and if your spelling and grammar is acceptable.

Of course! We are the premier supplier of product reviews in Europe, and we know all of the Amazon rules and regulations inside and out. You will become a part of an exclusive group of product reviewers. The opportunities to test products for free are endless: we receive new requests from our clients for reviews for their products every day which means even more products for you to test and review for free – legally. And just because they’re legal doesn’t mean they have to be biased. We encourage all of our testers to write honest and well-reasoned reviews, not every product is going to be a 5 Star product to each individual.

Manufactures understand that even for the best products: no reviews equals no sales, and no sales equals no reviews. Therefore it is important to generate as many reviews as possible. This not only benefits the manufacturer, but also the potential customers. Helpful reviews provide extra descriptions of the product and very often support final purchase decisions.

RULES IN BRIEF

For each completed test you will receive at least one rating point. Each rating point counts as an entry in the lottery for the test product you apply for.


You can only be selected once per test product.


You can apply for as many product tests as you like, however you may only evaluate up to three products simultaneously.


If you do not submit your review within 30 days, you will be penalised and lose one rating point for each day of delay.


If you do not uphold the 30 day rule repeatedly, your membership with Club der Produkttester may be terminated.


Test products can regularly be pre-production models, but this does not mean that the quality is any less than that of the final product, but this still can not be guaranteed. Therefore, there are generally no warranties provided for test products. If the test product shows signs of defect during the test period and cannot be evaluated at its full potential, we will always try to provide you with a replacement.


While you will get to keep all test products you are sent (in most cases), the product still remains property of the manufacturer. Therefore you cannot give away or sell the free test product you were sent. If you wish to dispose of the test product, you are obliged to recycle where possible. These rules in brief, as the name suggests, are no replacement for full terms and conditions.

What requirements must be fulfilled in order to become a member of ASIN Booster?

You must have a public Amazon Profile that is at least 12 months old with at least 10 Amazon reviews. The reviews must be written in comprehensive English and were found to be (mainly) “helpful” by other Amazon users. The quality of each review will be assessed.

Can I still apply if I do not satisfy all of the requirements?

Yes, it is still possible for you to apply to become a tester. You must provide a convincing review history; we welcome regular reviewers to the Club, provided the oldest review is less than 12 months old. Applicants with less than the minimum 10 reviews or reviews older than 12 months will be added to our watch list and will be contacted by us as soon as the requirements are met.

My application to become a member was rejected, but I satisfied all of the conditions?

The conditions serve as preselection to become a member, we pay close attention to the quality of the content you have published on Amazon. This includes writing style, correct spelling and grammar, as well as which details are included in the review. If your application has been rejected, please go back and check that your reviews include what we are looking for before reapplying.

I cannot log in.

Please first check that you have received a confirmation email for access to ASIN Booster. If your application has been rejected, you will be unable to log-in. If you are already a member of ASIN Booster, make sure you have entered your credentials correctly, ensure Caps Lock isn’t active and so on. If you have forgotten your password please use the “Send Reset Link” function and create a new password. If you do this and you still cannot log in, please contact us.

I get an error message saying my email address is not registered.

Please first ensure that you have entered your email address correctly. If you have never logged into ASIN Booster, check to see if your membership application has been approved (you would have received a confirmation email). If none of these apply to you, please contact us.

Can I have multiple accounts so I can get more free products?

It is strictly prohibited to have more than one Amazon profile or register for multiple accounts. If we find testers with multiple registrations, their membership with ASIN Booster will be terminated immediately.

Which parcel service will you use to send my products?

Generally, we use the services of DHL and Deutsche Post (German Postal Service). If your package is shipped via DHL, you will receive an email with the tracking number and probable delivery time. For shipments with Deutsche Post we unfortunately cannot offer tracking.

I have received an email that my DHL package will be arriving tomorrow but I will not be home. What should I do?

In the email from DHL you will find a button that will allow you to choose your desired service. With this you can ask DHL to deliver your package at a different time or, if necessary, to a different address. You can also give consent for DHL to leave your package with a neighbour.

According to my tracking details, I was not at home to receive my package.

Sometimes DHL can not reach our product testers at the given phone number.

  • Before contacting us, first check that you have entered your phone number and address correctly into the system
  • Check is tracking is available for your package, and see if it has been return to us or if it has been taken to a DHL location for holding. If this is the case, you will receive an email with details on the location of where your package is being held. Please ensure you pick up your package in a timely fashion, since packages are generally only held for 7 days before they are returned to us.

If your package has arrived back at our warehouse we can - in some cases - send it to you again.

The time on my 30 day test period has already started but I have not received my product yet.

If a product is sent via Deutsche Post, we do not have tracking details for it. In these cases our system registers the product as being shipped and received as the same time. Delivery should be with in within the next few days; but if you have not received anything after ten days, please contact us.

How long do I have to write my product review?

Testers have 30 days to test, evaluate, and write their review on the product. The 30 days only begins once the tester has successfully received their test product.

Are there any hidden costs associated with being a product tester?

No, as a product tester you will never incur any costs. Even if a product needs to be returned for any reason, you will not have to pay the shipping costs.

Why have I received an automatic email that my test time has expired even though I have already submitted my review online?

You may receive the email reminder as our system may have not yet confirmed your review. This can take several days to complete.

I have not been selected for a product test for a long time, am I doing something wrong?

The test products are distributed through a lottery system. Essentially each tester has the same chance of being selected as any other tester. For each completed test you will receive at least one point. Therefore the more points you have, the higher the chances of being selected in the lottery.

Where do the products come from?

The products are provided by authors / publishers, studios, manufacturers, or sellers who we cooperate with.

How are the products distributed among the testers?

The selection of who will receive test products is decided by a lottery. Essentially, each tester has the same chance as any other tester to be selected for the test product they are applying for. For each test and review successfully completed and submitted, you will be rewarded at least one rating point. One point corresponds to one ticket which can then be used to enter the raffle for the selection of product testers for a given product test. When a tester registers their interest for an available product, all of their “tickets” will be added automatically to the raffle. Therefore, the more points/tickets the tester has, the greater the chance that their ticket will be drawn to test the product. Each tester can only be drawn once per product test. Rating points are never lost when entering product test lotteries.

Do test products come with a warranty?

The test products can regularly be pre-production or prototype models. This does not mean that their quality is any less than that of the final production model, but this cannot be guaranteed. We generally do not provide warranties on test products.

Will I receive products before they are released to the public?

Yes, this is a possibility. This may occur so as to have reviews for the product prior to officially launching it.

How many products can I test at once?

A maximum of 4 products can be tested simultaneously. If a tester already has 4 test products in their possession but would like to test a new product, they must first write a review for one or more of the 4 current products.

Can a product tester give away or sell the products they receive?

No, the test products can not be given away or sold. Though the product may be in possession of the tester, it still remains property of the seller / manufacturer. If the tester prefers to dispose of the product at the end of the test, they are obliged to recycle where possible.

My test product was broken/damaged when it arrived, what should I do?

Should a product arrive broken or damaged in any way we ask that you please send us photos so we can pass them on to the manufacturer. We will contact the manufacturer directly to find out if they will replace the product. If a replacement can not be sent, you no longer need to review the product, but you will still receive one point.

I was sent the wrong product, what should I do?

Please call or email us.

I was sent the same product twice, what should I do?

If you have received a second, identical product, please send us an email. We will send you a return label so you can send the product back to us.

Do I need anything specific for product testing and can I check this before applying?

Generally, you can apply for any test product offer; but before you click to confirm your interest, you should consider a few points.

Before applying, always read the full product description and entire Amazon product page.
Ensure that this product fits to you and your interests 100% and that you can successfully test the product. For example: we assume no liability if you apply to test an article of clothing in size XS where normally you would wear a size S. Take special care with food and supplements, please read ingredients closely to check for any allergies or intolerances.

Are product testers paid or pressured to write favourable reviews?

You will never be pressured or influenced in any way to write a positive/negative review for a product. You must be honest and be able to justify the reasoning of why you included what you did in your review.

Why does my Amazon profile need to be publically accessible?

Applications to become a product tester will be rejected if we cannot view your profile and review history. Your profile must remain public once you have been accepted as we continually check the quality of reviews that are testers are publishing. If we cannot assess your activity, it may result in termination of your membership with ASIN Booster.

Can I write a negative review?

If you did not like the product being tested, and it does not deliver what it promises, then you write a negative review. Our testers are under no obligation to write positive reviews. As long as a negative review is honest and well-reasoned, it may still be just as helpful as a positive review.

Aren’t reviews of “gifted” products in principle, already biased?

Our product testers are required to test, evaluate, and review each product as objectively and honestly as possible. Testers are also encouraged to state within their review that they did not pay for the product.

I can not publish my review within the 30 days, what can I do to not have points deducted?

For every day that your review is not online, one point will be deducted automatically from your account. To prevent this from happening, contact us. In rare cases we can make allowances. To save time, please tell us directly in your email why you are unable to publish your review in time.

What if I am a day too late in publishing my review?

Failure to submit a review within the allotted 30 days will result in one rating point to be deducted for each day of delay.

Are there negative effects when I submit a review before receiving the product?

Yes, this may result in termination of your membership with ASIN Booster. The purpose of a product review is that it is based on real product tests to provide justified feedback for our customers and prospective buyers. A credible review can not be written without testing the actual product.

Are there negative effects if I copy a product review from other Amazon users or websites?

Yes, this may result in termination of your membership with ASIN Booster. You are testing the products in order to portray your personal view of the product, not someone else's.

I have submitted my review to be published on Amazon, but Amazon has not accepted it, what should I do?

Sometimes Amazon refuses reviews. This can be for a number of different reasons (for example: certain images can be rejected, information regarding the nature of the packaging is included, or you already rated a similar product, etc). We ask that you check Amazon’s grounds for refusal and ensure you have not included anything that is not allowed. If you believe your review has been unfairly refused, please contact Amazon support. They can usually be quick and easily reached on 0800 3638469. If none of these solve your problem, please contact us.

When and where do I submit my reviews?

You will always submit your review to our internal system first, and once it has been confirmed you will be redirected via a button to Amazon. Here is where you can add photos or videos. Note that our system will only credit your the allotted points if you submit your review to our system first. If you first publish your review on Amazon, and then on our system, the two will not be linked and you therefore will not receive any points.

I need support with my product, can I contact the supplier?

We place a great emphasis on the anonymity of our testers. You should be able to write reviews that are unbiased and uninfluenced in any way. So we ask that should you have a problem with the product, please contact us directly. We often have direct access to support questions and can therefore clarify any problems you may encounter.

How many points will I receive for a completed test?

For each completed test you will receive at least one point. There are opportunities to gain more points per test, please see “How can I earn extra points?”

I have published reviews with pictures/videos, where are my extra points?

Normally, it takes our system a few days to register the extra points. If this is not the case, please send us an email, and we will add the points manually.

What do I do with the points I collect?

The selection of who tests what product is based on a lottery system. The more points you have, the higher the probability is that you will be selected for a test.

When will points be deducted?

Points will be deducted as soon as you have surpassed the allowed 30 days to publish your review on Amazon. You will be deducted one point for each day of delay.

How can I earn extra points?

You can easily earn extra points by simply adding photo(s) or videos to your reviews. You will be able to receive up to three points for each completed test. You can also earn extra points if our customer is very satisfied with your review and would like to also publish it on other Amazon platforms. Please refer to “Will I receive extra points for a translated review?”.

Why do some customers want professional translations of my review?

For some of our customers, it is important to have helpful reviews published on foreign Amazon platforms as their products are available in multiple countries.

Do I need to translate my own review?

No, we will translate your review with professionals and send it to you via email for you to publish on the desired platform.

How do I publish my translated review on foreign Amazon platforms?

If a customer has decided to translate your review, you will receive an email from us with a detailed guide on how to publish the translation.

Will I receive extra points for a translated review?

Yes, for each successfully translated review you will receive one extra point.

I have uploaded my review but it has not yet been published, what do I do?

The foreign Amazon platform must approve the review, just as any other Amazon platform. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. If your review still has not been published after a longer time, please contact us.
